In a recent blog I told you about wanting a second baby. It is taking its time… will it be long before our wish comes true?
// Our 2 year anniversary
When we came back from our 4 day trip in Holland we had our second wedding anniversary. Sjors and I have been together for a long time and if you know us personally.. you know that we celebrate everything worth celebrating! I invited our parents and we had some small cute cakes from Hema.
These little cakes are perfect so serve to a large or tough crowd. You can choose from 3 flavours so there is something for everyone.
// A sunny bike ride
It really was gorgeous weather that Saturday. Sjors and I decided that we wanted to go to a small lake near our house. Just 15 minutes on the bike. Unfortunately there was a fungus in the water and we couldn’t swim. No worries because there was grass and sand to play on! Noëlle played with her dad the whole time wile I was chilling on the beach towel.
Noëlle is currently trying to walk and crawl at the same time, haha! She makes me thing of Mowgli from The Jungle Book!
// Happiness and disappointment
This month, I was feeling it!! I was so excited about letting go and not hang on to the physical “pregnancy” kind of feelings in my body. I thought this would make a huge difference and it would all be positive this month.
The Sunday following our anniversary I took a pregnancy test. This was the day before I had to get my period. I thought… what’s the harm in taking a test. With my heart racing I did my thing on the toilet and a negative result came. I could see a very little positive line but would not let myself be fooled. I was not going to let it fool me twice. I felt like shit, of course. I told Sjors that we would have to be better at eating right and losing weight. I ordered a weight loss starter package and went for it.
// No period yet
Even after the day of the negative test, I didn’t get my period. So.. maybe there was a chance… But my other thought was: just go to the gym. Work hard on yourself and just go running on the treadmill. That’ll get that nasty stomach pains to settle into a period.
This was the fourth month.
Keep you posted. Love, Kelly
